See, happens all the time.

I think you might be right, Jim. Having been in a hiring position (but not a firing one) I've seen rotten corporations, when they don't have a solid enough reason to fire someone they want to get rid of, find another excuse that they think will protect them from any discriminatory backlash. I don't think this was a good choice though.

I knew that organ transplants happen and I am all for it. I just never thought about how they got places. Now I know. Kinda like a prescription from the drug store.

Looks

Made some changes. Got kinda tired of the old layout. Things did not copy and paste well with the old template either. I like the blue. Soft to the eyes. The layout is different. Got rid of some dumb stuff and added some others that hopefully are not so dumb. You can now call me from the app in the blog. It's free and easy to use. Google Voice. (You should check them out.) I will answer the phone but I don't know what I will say. Haha  A new page explaining copyright things. Not to legal. Pretty much, share and share alike. Free software page. Google+ button. (Feel free to push it.) And comments are always welcome. Don't forget Tweets. Follow me and I will follow you, of course. Anyway, I will keep posting.

Veteran's Stories

This link has a bunch of stories from veterans.(it was one of my ads provided by Adsense on this page. Remember to click the ads so I get money :)  The stories are kinda cool to listen to. I was a veteran. Proud of it. But, I volunteered. I joined 8 years after the draft. I believe those that were drafted and served with honor deserve special recognition. Don't forget them. And may the draft never happen again.

This lady kills her child because he would not stop crying. The police had this to say.

"Raising children can be frustrating. There are a myriad of ways to handle that," McCulloch said. "This isn't one of them."

We are Penn State

This just couldn't be said any better. What scares me is that these people are put in charge and we just trust them. I am really fast learning to not trust anyone in power. I see them and can't help think, what are they really up to?

Children

Ok, they knew they were in trouble. Gave the baby away. Not a good thing, mind you, but better than killing it. And they are still in trouble. That's the problem.
People are fucking stupid. We know that. Some people don't even need drugs or alcohol. These people need a place that they can put their kids without getting into trouble. No matter what the reason that they cannot take of their children, wouldn't we, as a society, want them to give them up rather than the child live in a neglectful and maybe abusive household? Should we not let the adult get away with a 'crime' so that the child is ok?
A parent should do their very best for the child. Teach them, guide them, and take them where they need to be.   Some parent's are better at it than others. But what if a parent decided that, in the best interest of the child, they shouldn't be with them? For whatever reason. We give 'medals' to parents who go above and beyond. So, short of giving your life for your kid, would not giving up your child for it's best interest(not your own) be right up there? So wouldn't giving up your child, so that it might live, be a noble thing even if the reasons were horrific?
I would have been that neighbor who took the child. I would not have said a word.

US Citizens not terrorists!

It seems to me that the FBI is saying that US citizens are not terrorists, at least according to this quote. Only foreigners do that shit, right? I bet there are some citizens in Oklahoma who might argue that. Remember, terrorists are idiots that come from all races, religions, and countries.

"The FBI continues to investigate, but initial indications are that there was no terrorist intent. This guy is a U.S. citizen," said FBI Special Agent Mark White in Dallas.

I just learned something from an article today. Surprized me. It seems as if a whole lotta folks are really upset about airport screening these days. Ya know, metal detectors, pat downs(xxx), x-ray eye machines and whatnot. It's those terrorists, right. Dirty, rotten assholes. Privacy lost. And whether most people wanna admit it, or not, we blame faceless ideas like Al Quada or islamics. All Middle Easterners all become suspect. Right? They are the terrorists, right?
                          Hold on , everyone.
Now the gist of the article is this. Seems back in the 70s these bunch of dipshits from Detroit hijack a plane. They fly to various places, making threatening faces, and end up with a million dollars and head off to Algiers. Algiers let them stay but took the money. So this one hijacker ends up in Portugal and they find him 40 years later. Cool story but not my point.
                           Bear with me now.
It seems this hijacking was the one that finally pissed off the government so bad that they installed the first metal detectors at airports. Now are you paying attention here? I said, AMERICANS were a direct cause of installing metal detectors! One of US(A) got on a plane and hijacked it and terrorized a planeload of passengers! Does this story sound familiar? Only this time it wasn't 'them'.
                          It was us.
Now everyone that knows me, knows that I am a proud American. I just think that we, as a nation, as a people, should maybe look inward before we start blaming. Every great society, whether based on religion on not, has had it's assholes that think killing and blowing up stuff is the way. The vast majority of society does not prescribe to this asinine behavior. Whether it is for religion, money, or power civilization cannot permit it.
                            So be it.
But it just does not make sense to hate and blame a whole race or religion because of these few nincompoops. I believe that most people are good. Human beings, no matter the flavor, are inherently good. We are all very different but in many ways the same.
                        Tolerate. Please.
So when you are sitting around thinking about how bad 'those' people are, maybe you will run across a story that will remind you that 'they' are everywhere. Even hidden on the 'good' guy's side.

Huey Long's Share Our Wealth Speech

This, by far, one of the best speeches I have read. It says alot about what I think needs to be done today for our country. Written by a man, a senator,a governor of Louisiana, a presidential candidate over 75 years ago. (He was assassinated in 1935 by 'political enemies'. Terrorists in today's language)  Anyway, if you have a few minutes, read. I think you will be impressed.

How To Survive The Apocalypse, on $20 and the stuff in your apartment

How To Survive The Apocalypse, on $20 and the stuff in your apartment: I really liked this list. Lots of folks go all fancy when making up a survival kit but it really doesn't need to be. Really, most of this stuff you already have. I do. Just don't have it all in one spot. One thing that I thought was really cool, and I had never thought about, was the large stash of clean water that most of us have in our basements. The water heater. Just knowing that makes me feel alot better.

People everywhere

I was reading in the paper about the Air and Water Show going on in Chicago this weekend. They are expecting upwards of 2 million people to attend! Geez. That's a friggin lot of people. I once went to the fireworks in Chicago and they say there was a million people at that one. Believe me, it was ALOT of people. I just don't remember these huge numbers when I was growing. I wondered if the population has really gone up so much. I was kinda surprised. Take a look at these numbers. I started with my birth year and looked at every 20 yrs after.

1960- 179,323,175
1980- 226,545,805
2000- 281,421,906

And in 2010 it was 308,745,538! Total population of the WORLD in 14 AD was 300 million! More people live in the United States right now than there were in the entire world back then. Pretty awesome if you think about it.
I did some math and since I was born there are about 130 million more people now than then. No wonder the fun stuff is more crowded. So, I'm thinking, could ya'll extra people move somewhere so I can have more room?

Tale of Two CitiesI read this book when I was a kid and have always been real proud to say I did. Book itself is hard to read tho but good. The main reason it is here is because I was learning things today on the computer.  If you click on the book, the link will take you to the full text that you can read. Look's like a real book and you even 'turn' the pages. Just something I learned to do. (Making PDF files 'fun' to read. lol) You don't have to like the book but the format is cool.

Rant

This asshole BEAT A BABY TO DEATH! This kinda crap just pisses me off! This is a good argument for taking the jerk out back and just killing him! He admits he did it. He is found with the kid. He freaking did it. So, bye bye!    Just think of it. He was mad. He was mad? And so you beat a kid to death? No freaking way. Not in my world. And now we have to take care of him for the rest of his life? Better to just cut this oozing, abominable, freak of nature right outta here. Even criminals should not have to hang around this,this.........I am out of words for him.  Sorry, just how I feel. And look, I was mad but didn't feel I needed to beat anyone to death.  lol

Thinking

Ya know I aint much of a religious person but some things....  Mother Nature is a 'in hand' religion, if ya wanna call it that. No doubt she is out there and doing some really awesome things. And Karma just can't be dismissed. Hence the reason I think things grow really well in my yard without much effort from me. The owning of the house, it's ours, helps alot. It is for family. It is filled with love. Mother Nature really likes things like that. So she says, let it grow!  Now she is not to picky about who in the plant world decides to listen and all do. Weeds AND flowers.  haha  Weeds need to grow too. Creatures are here too. Snakes and bugs. Rabbits like to eat certain flowers. The crazy mice.(I tried to live and let live, but they overstayed their welcome. (Mother Nature provided the wood for those traps. :) That's ok, they need to live too. Karma and Mother Nature also get together and realize that there are kids here too. They are both more than happy to help with that too. And funny, the more you believe in Karma, live and let live, do unto others as you would have done to you philosophy, the more it works. Careful tho, good things come if you do good, but bad things will come at you like a train wreck if you fuck around to much. And the more good you are, the more it builds up. Bad things have a much harder time at getting to you. One thing to make it work is don't expect anything. You have to truly believe that it works and it will. You be going along and then, boom, it is there for you. Smile and the world smiles with you, growl and some asshole will kick your butt. Most religions have some form of this thinking but my way is better.  lol  My 'church' is outside, inside, pretty much anywhere I am.

Now you can explain all this with boring, ruin my preaching, cold hard facts.  haha   This probably works because people tend to take care of their own stuff better than other people's. But that is the great thing about my version of Karma. Alot of selfish things turn out to be the right thing to do!

kids

This is a very disturbing video of children playing war. War as they know it. They are being the suicide bomber! The hero! The Taliban approves of this 'game' as it will teach the children what to expect if they are ever in a war. This is terrible. These third world children being taught that killing and suicide are proper and honorable ways of acting. We should rush in there on our white horses a save these poor helpless children. Killing in the name of religion? How barbaric is that? Geez.
Now, now, hold on there Mr and Ms patriotic American. Do we remember G.I. Joe? I loved that guy. It was cool to be a soldier. He had just about everything needed to win. I played war, cowboys and Indians.  Nobody wanted to be the Indians.(Krauts, or Japs either for that matter. Losers.)  How many war 'hero's' can you name? Tens? Hundreds? How about war hero's that became president? (Grant really bugs me, lol). Do we not bomb innocent people? (Ask Mr Nixon about his 'carpet' bombing. Dresden, anyone?) Can my children and I watch on TV how we are 'saving' the world everyday? We kill with remote control airplanes! We don't even have to be there.  I woke up to my kids playing a video game where the main objective is to shoot people! (Kill. Kill!  Blood and pouring guts. Veins in my teeth. I mean kill!) WE ARE TEACHING THE SAME DAMN THING? It is a noble and honorable thing to give your life for your country or beliefs? If this is so, then are they all that different from us?
Now don't get me wrong, I will stand up for my beliefs and way of life. I was taught to and it is embedded in me. America, even with it's sometimes terrible faults, is the best around. No doubt. At least to us. And that's the thing. They are people, in many ways no different than us, and we, as human beings need to teach the children that the hate must stop. You don't have to like them, just tolerate them.

This little piggy went to market.
This little piggy stayed home.
This little piggy had roast beast.
This little piggy had none.
And this little piggy "wee wee wee" all the way home.

Now in this little children's ditty, which piggy do you think was turned into a side dish at Denny's? Now most people would think that the annoying one going "WEEEEE" all the way home would be the perfect candidate for ritual slaughter and feasting, but they would be mistaken. It would have to be the first one because we know that he didn't go 'to the market' he went 'to market' and pigs don't have any money to spend any way. No pockets to carry it in. And, if you do the motions on the tootsies of some unsuspecting child ya notice the fattest digit is the one that starts. Thus, MORE BACON! YAY!

Me and Mymy

We decided that a morning snack would be all the rage so in looking for that perfect item we came across Beech Nut Homestyle Pears and Blueberries(booberries, if you want). Wonderful stuff that. 6 oz,calories 170, Vitamin C 45%!, lot of potassium 300 mg(good stuff), a little iron and calcium thrown in. mmmm Purple too! Made with natural ingredients. ( that doesn't impress me as much tho. After all 'arsenic' is natural.lol) Then four ounces of formula. Just taking the morning snack to all new levels! Tasty and nutritious.
Now this perfect lil girl takes all these wonderful things, Mother Nature and Mama, spared no expense, and eats them all up. Just delicious. Lots of smiles and good times. Her world is heaven. Her lil body is just ecstatic. Then what, you ask? It gets all processed, used and mixed, in and out, all around, just helping to create more of a beautiful child and she does what to say thanks? Downloads the most disgusting, slimy, smelling, sticky, oocky, icky, horrific, god awful mess that could be. Bio suits and independent air supplies come to mind as you hold your breath for the clean up. To her? Just another fun thing to do with her day, bless her heart. And what do we say about it? She gave you a 'present'. lol Silly grownups. We think we are in charge. :)
